If caught with eye-patch off, left eye has a gear for a pupil (which is why he wears the eye patch). Nails are painted blue and black. Has bag with gears on it to hold items in.

History: Childhood was uneventful. Got his first Pokemon at 10. Left home at 11 with his parents' permission. Found a stray Eevee, named it Append. Decides to keep Eevee as a pet. Append follows him everywhere. Append helps ward off aggressive Pokemon. Met up with a band of kids called 'Team Shadow' at 12. Was treated as a welcome guest for a few days. Decided not to stick around. Team Shadow promises to remain acquaintances with Vinyl. Age 13, falls from a steep cliff and breaks his jaw. Jaw heals incorrectly, resulting in his crooked jaw. Age 14, notices his eye in a river reflection. Wears eye patch to hide it. Meets up with Team Shadow again. New members nickname him "Crooked". Name sticks. Began to introduce himself as "Crooked" instead of "Vinyl". Stays with Team Shadow for a year. Became the way he is during that time. Decided to become a Breeder, looks forward to beating the first Gym and breeding Kanata and Append.
